Woodside – Extension to Listed Building

The Brief:
Faced with some restoration problems in their Regency grade B listed property in Wigtown, the clients engaged Hazel to help realise their dream to repair the property and add a modern garden room extension. Not the simplest of briefs satisfying the planners and dealing with the rather awkward multiple levels of the original property.

The Clients said:
‘ We are delighted with our resulting extra room with its beautiful outlook and balcony to utilise in summer, and its cosy woodburner heated space in winter. In addition we have gained a ground floor shower room and utility/storage room. We are extremely satisfied with the result and are enjoying living in the finished extension. Well worth the hassle of building the project.’
